How many times do hearing aids in the factory need to be "listened" from production to leaving the f

It takes at least 3 years to manufacture a hearing aid from R&D, testing, registration to listing among which audiometry is an important part of making hearing aids.

Today, New voice will take you to the factory to reveal how many times a hearing aid needs to be "heard" from the beginning of production to leaving the factory?

1. Acoustic laboratory
R&D is the birthplace of hearing aid where the first audiometry took place - the acoustic laboratory.
After the prototype is produced according to the appearance, age and other needs, the hearing sense review team composed of members from multiple departments will conduct subjective hearing sense testing, score the near far loudness, noise, white noise and other aspects of hearing aids, and generate a test report. On the basis of the report, it should be continuously optimized, improved, verified, and repeated for multiple cycles until the test results reach the standard.
Acoustics laboratory related equipment:
1. KEMAR HEAD
KEMAR HEAD artificial head is located in the full sound chamber of the new acoustic laboratory, which provides the acoustic full free field environment. The HRTF (Head-related transfer function, head-related transmission function) acoustic model is used to perform four directional rotations to realize the 3D spatial sense of sound. The noise level of the hearing aid on the artificial head is measured in each direction to feedback the directional data (such as the difference between dynamic and static).

2. ETSI acoustic reverberation room
"Can that hear it clearly? How big is the sound like?"The tester gently beat the drum, the subject listened wearing a hearing aid, and then feedback the feelings to the tester. Such simulations are often performed in New Voice
To debug the performance simulation of conventional hearing AIDS and acoustic performance evaluation, such as conventional acoustic parameters, microphone beam, signal-to-noise ratio, etc.

2. Total inspection
1. Audition of semi-finished products
The hearing aid officially entered the trial production link after passing the assessment of the acoustic laboratory
In this part, the hearing aid will go through the "hearing test" of the component part.

For hearing aids, each component is critical, and Xinsheng also knows this truth.
Therefore, after the detection personnel will connect the receiver to the receiver, it is necessary to carefully check whether the boot sound, volume size, program prompts of each hearing aid is normal, to ensure that there is no quiet, silent, noise, broken sound.
In addition, the touch sensitivity of keys and the normal switching of keys are also within the inspection range; the qualified semi-finished components can be loaded into the electrostatic disk for the finished product "hearing" until the hearing test results meet the standards.

2. Finished product audiometry
The audiometric inspection of finished products is based on the audiometric inspection of semi-finished products, and it is also the last audiometric link of total inspection.

Before conducting an objective electrical test, the tester will first eliminate hearing aids with insufficient gain and output.
Then, Fonix8000 (hearing aid test system) is used to enter into the detection phase:
To place the hearing aid in the test box, the instrument will simulate the human ear hearing mechanism. According to the parameter requirements, it's to detect the acoustic performance of the hearing aid output sound pressure level, full gear sound gain, total harmonic distortion, etc.

In order to ensure the accuracy of inspection, no wrong inspection will occur. In addition to objective electrometry, subjective audiometry is also required for each testing link.
Subjective audiometry is more refined. The inspector needs to identify whether there is sound or more obvious howling one by one. If the machine fails to meet the target, it will be returned to the production line.

3. Sampling inspection
Different from the total inspection, FQC (Final Quality Control) selects a certain proportion for random inspection in accordance with the national standard to "test" the hearing aids.
FQC is also a combination of objective audiometry and subjective audiometry to ensure the effectiveness of audiometry in this link.

In addition, during this stage, the tester will check the charging state of the hearing aid many times.
The "audiometry" of the hearing aid is not a single link, but the "audiometry" in the research and development, production and detection links, which is interlinked and interconnected. Only after passing the "hearing test" assessment of each link can the shipment be completed and become a hearing aid in everyone's hand. Otherwise, it will be returned to the previous link for reprocessing.
Now do you know how many times hearing aids need to be "listened" from the beginning of production to leaving the factory?
