Xiamen NewSound technology Co.,ltd has registered an event with the World Hearing Forum entitled "charitable donations" in celebration of World Hearing Day 2023
The annual World Hearing Day serves as a global advocacy event for increasing awareness about hearing loss and advocating for ear and hearing care. Its purpose is to urge action and address related issues. This occasion is observed every year on March 3, focusing on a particular theme that the World Health Organization and its associates carry out activities related to.
Its theme is " Ear and hearing care for all! Let’s make it a reality ."

World Hearing Day On March 3rd, Xiamen NewSound Technology Co., LTD., together with Xiamen Deaf Association and other units, held 3.3 World Hearing Day public welfare activity and hearing aid donation in Zhongshan Park. The event was covered by Xiamen Daily and Sina News.
The chairman of Xiamen Deaf Association made a speech to express his gratitude to NewSound Technology for its continuous attention to the deaf community in Xiamen. He hoped that this event would arouse more social people and caring enterprises' attention to the deaf community and help them hear better and return to society.
Yu Shihu, CEO of Xiamen New Sound Technology Co., Ltd., stated that the 3.3 Ear Care Day is one of the few health holidays initiated by China, and Xiamen is one of the largest hearing aid production bases in the country. As a veteran enterprise in the hearing aid industry, NewSound has the responsibility to contribute to the cause of hearing-impaired disabled people in Xiamen. Over the past decade, New Sound has engaged in charity work, donating hearing aids and materials to numerous charitable institutions and grassroots communities, and supporting science popularization campaigns to help hearing-impaired people improve their hearing.
NewSound donated 111 sets of hearing aids
At the donation ceremony, Yu Shihu and Huang Yulin donated 111 sets of hearing aids to Xiamen Deaf Association on behalf of Xiamen New Sound Technology Co., LTD and Xiamen Medical Equipment Association respectively. They responded to the call of 33 Ear Day and Ear Protection with 330,000 RMB to together build a lovely Xiamen.
The event promoted the theme of "Scientific Ear Care, Active Health" and set up science popularization checkpoints in areas with broader coverage and higher activity within Xiamen's elderly population. It provided hearing health consultation, ear knowledge Q&A, and other forms of scientific knowledge dissemination, encouraging regular hearing checks and proper ear usage.
In Zhongshan Park, citizens exercising in the early morning were drawn to the lively atmosphere of Love Your Ears Day and visited the informational booths. With the guidance of the event staff, residents checked in and learned about ear care. They even took pictures to share on social media. Meanwhile, those with hearing difficulties went to the consultation area where certified specialists provided expert advice on ear diseases, hearing loss, and rehabilitation.
To expand the reach of the event, it was broadcast live in an innovative format, combining online and offline promotion methods. More than 3,000 people attended the event, and it reached over 100,000 people via social media.
With the high number of people with hearing impairments and disabilities in China, it is essential to educate the public on hearing health knowledge.
