For the past decade, NewSound has quietly worked as part of the "Bene by NewSound" initiative, providing a platform for these extraordinary individuals to display their remarkable abilities. Our charitable recruitment program began in 2013, offering training in hearing aid technology and meaningful employment to these "special colleagues." Our aim is for them to make affordable and dependable hearing aids accessible to those with hearing impairments, extending our charitable efforts even further. In 2019, our program expanded internationally, sending exceptional employees to Malaysia to train seven or eight new "special colleagues" in repairing the highly sought-after HA302 and Poco R201 models from the United States.
Then, in 2020, amidst the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on various industries and soaring unemployment rates, NewSound's chairman remained unwavering in our commitment to charity. We welcomed a "special colleague" named Hang Wu into our marketing department. Despite being based in Hangzhou for the past three years, Hang Wu has maintained consistent contact with our headquarters in Xiamen, delivering outstanding design work through remote collaboration without fail.

How I Found My Way to New Sound:
In June 2020, I officially became a member of the New Sound team, marking three years of working in this industry. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, I chose to stand by New Sound and the struggling businesses we had planned to invest in. Together, we weathered the storm and helped each other overcome these difficult times.
Navigating Productivity and Communication While Working Remotely:
As someone with a hearing impairment, I don't require excessive communication for my personal graphic design work. However, my communication skills are not always smooth, as I rely heavily on lip-reading and struggle to hear conversations. Initially, I had concerns about integrating with the team while working from home, but I quickly realized that my colleagues at New Sound are incredibly understanding and supportive. They do not discriminate against me because of my remote work situation or hearing impairment. Instead, they consistently provide the assistance I need, creating a happy and fulfilling work environment. This team has empowered me to break through barriers, grow, and experience the true meaning of teamwork and mutual support.
Unforgettable Moments at NewSound:
I want to express my deep gratitude to NewSound for giving me a remarkable platform and opportunities, especially during the pandemic outbreak in June 2020. This company has allowed me to continuously learn and grow, and I am thankful for the recognition and support I have received from my incredible colleagues. Their encouragement has motivated me to enhance my skills and capabilities. Simply put, being a part of NewSound is an experience I am extremely grateful for.
Growth and Transformation with NewSound:
Since joining the NewSound family, I have witnessed significant growth and transformation within the company. I firmly believe that my efforts have contributed to these achievements. I hold myself to high standards, maintain a positive mindset, and continuously strive to improve my design abilities. Learning from past experiences has been crucial in developing effective design methods, particularly in the field of 3D rendering. Despite the time and effort required, I have discovered that enhancing efficiency leads to improved design quality and productivity. In addition, the enhancement of NewSound's design asset management, including the creation of our own icon library, material library, and design template library, has resulted in long-term reuse and increased efficiency. Standardizing their use has further improved design quality and effectiveness, bringing us closer to our goal of becoming a top-tier hearing aid brand. Being able to showcase my value and experience personal growth in this new environment has been an incredible journey.
Throughout my time at NewSound, the company has witnessed my growth and development. Chairman Yushihu once described me as an employee with strong self-drive. Initially, expectations for me were not lofty. However, through my determination, I have surpassed all expectations and my design work now truly embodies the spirit of "change and growth" that NewSound advocates.
My achievements serve as a testament to NewSound's commitment to public recruitment over the past decade. They demonstrate that NewSound provides employees with a platform to realize their potential and succeed. We will continue these meaningful endeavors, firmly believing that, at NewSound, even the hearing-impaired can "hear" the voice of their dreams.
